Team Manager-SaaS 

The Team Manager-SaaS will ensure the development of the team, its members, effective communication, collaboration and focus on the objectives in the SAAS team.

The ideal candidate comes with technical experience on how to develop and operate cloud based solutions with high data throughput and is able to prioritize business and technical requirements.

These challenges require good skills of leadership, business acumen and technical accountability.


Reporting to the SAAS technical director, in this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for the tasks and duties involved, but are not limited to:


  • Develop the skills and careers of your people, actively mentoring and supporting them.
  • Collaborate to help drive strategy and design of Genvid’s cloud solution.
  • Collaborate with the PO and leadership to align technology with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Accountable for the maintenance, availability, development, and reliability of products and services of the team.
  • Accountable for the continuous improvement of the team using accurate metrics to form high-performing team.
  • Transfer product requirements to technical requirements
  • Develop and implement standards and best practices in conjunction with the Development Director and co-managers.
  • Streamline deployment processes and bring consistency across all teams
  • Accountable for maintaining and developing continuous integration/ continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Develop and maintain SLA’s and observability metrics
  • Help define the scope of the project and deliverable by estimating the impact in terms of workload and resources
  • Promote and foster technical excellence as well agile values and behaviors aligned with objectives and values of the company.
  • Participate and collaborate with the different processes and programs of the company to ensure their success.
  • Learn, diffuse and maintain knowledge of the different tools and processes used across the company.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Fluency in French & English
  •  This role will partner with peers and colleagues in US therefore will require English Proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree required relevant computer science and or technical or analytic field preferred
  • 8+ years of SDLC in a context of Cloud based applications
  • Proven record of management experience leading a performer team
  • Strong knowledge of various services and solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Experience in launching software or services in collaboration with Agile developed teams
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on.
  • Good communication skills to clearly explain the problems and reach consensus.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership, analytical skills and strong business acumen.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Creative problem-solving capabilities.



Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in the gaming, multimedia and/or web services industry 
  • Agile certification or training
  • Cloud system certification (AWS, Azure, Google) 
  • Knowledge in SaaS’s technology stack: Golang, Terraform, Kubernetes, Git, BitBucket
  • Start-up Experience
