Human Resources Business Partner:

The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for fostering a progressive, professional and fun people experience, supporting the execution of the business strategy. This role is to support an upcoming 1 year leave on the HR team. This critical position will provide functional expertise, partnership and coaching to business leaders, creative and operational know-how and high EQ to achieve the best outcomes with all levels of the organization through honest, direct and inclusive communications.

Reporting to the VP, HR, The Human Resources Business Partner  will be responsible for providing business partner leadership to the client groups within Genvid Holdings & subsidiaries as assigned. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Providing subject matter expertise in regards to Canadian HR specifically in line with Quebec provincial labour laws
  • Provide full-scope HR support to leaders including: coaching, employee relations, compensation, structure and leveling, employee engagement and culture development, organizational design, change management, employee communications, and people development
  • Drive accountability for execution of employee lifecycle processes, including performance management, talent planning and annual merit (compensation)
  • Create and implement global HR processes, looking for standardization where possible, but also considering cultural implications
  • Strategize, project manage and assist in key HR projects to conclusion
  • Collaborate across HR functions (e.g., with recruiting, total rewards etc.) to design and deliver solutions
  • Assist with the onboarding  process, including coaching managers on how to shape job descriptions, how to interview and how to onboard to ensure fast acclimation to our culture
  • Assist with offboarding, including termination, conducting exit interviews and coordination
  • Work with leaders and employees to identify, establish, and maintain a positive work environment and authentic culture which encourages diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Execute on people strategies that may drive employee engagement and retention (e.g. talent assessments, engagement surveys, succession planning)
  • HRIS entry and maintenance, along with responsible for electronic filing system


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources or equivalent business experience
  • Fluency in French & English
  •  This role will partner with peers and colleagues in US therefore will require English Proficiency
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in HR
  • 2+ years experience in a fast paced, growing tech company
  • Strong problem solving skills and business acumen.
  • Subject matter expertise, with demonstrated experience in coaching and development
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills and enjoy finding solutions for issues as they arise
  • Demonstrated initiative in a fast-moving environment; proactive problem solver, roll-up-one’s-sleeves attitude with a strong work ethic and steadfast integrity
  • Strong sense of diplomacy, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Able to prioritize effectively and be proactive
